Haarlem

Haarlem is located on the river Spaarne and is the capital of the North Holland province, it is the center of a district dedicated to flower growing and the export point for tulip bulbs. You will find here the Teylers Museum, the oldest public museum in the Netherlands that hosts a collection of fossils and the famous Haarlem specimen of Archaeopteryx, minerals, historical scientific instruments and works of art, and has everything exhibited in a 19th century manner. Also check The Patronaat, a large venue for live music, hosting dance nights on fridays and saturdays.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a beautiful city in the Netherlands that has an impressive architecture, beautiful canals that criss cross the city, great for shopping, and friendly people. You can find something for every taste here, whether you like culture and history, partying, or just relaxing in a charming old European city. You can find historic city centers, with something like 7000 historic buildings, many old churches, like the Oude Kerk from 1306, and impressive modern architecture.

The Netherlands

The Netherlands, is one of the most densely populated countries on the world. Where ever you go, you are never far away from civilization. Cities can be crowded, especially in the Randstad area and much of the country is flat and at or below sea level, much of its countryside is dominated by highly industrialised farming, the Netherlands is a net exporter of food. Though there are some beautiful spots all over this country, expecting a countryside full of picturesque villages, tulips and windmills is not a good idea. The Netherlands geography is dominated by water features,this country is criss-crossed with canals and dikes.
